Fixing stage

Cabinets

They are putting in the cabinets. A bit of a hiccup as the kitchen windows do not align with the cabinets. Would have to get some spacers and trim the last cupboard. Stairs has been built as well. Glad I made the classic choice as oppose to the modern one. Not too chunky and good views of the void.

Plastering

There's been a bit of a pause end of lock up stage. Mostly fixing things before plastering. It was a bit frustrating waiting for the tradesman to show up and fix things. Plumber relocated the drainage pipes blocking the air vents in lounge, relocated the pipes blacking the pantry sliding door and fixed the location of taps and gas point in the laundry. Nick the fill in CS fixed all the frame work around the house including the head trimmers of lounge windows, reinforcement of studs. MBR replacement window was installed as well.

The only problem is the electrician not fixing the wall lights heights in the back of the house. I had to stop the plastering around the back sliding door until it is fixed..

Alfresco and Garage roofing

Frames for alfresco and garage mostly up. Really like the alfresco. All ready for our outdoor bar fridge and kitchen.

 The alfresco view from inside the house. They installed the ceiling and tiles on the same morning. I was planning to put in some insulation. Probably do it through the man hole later. 

The garage still waiting to be roofed.

Scaffolds down

Just finished painting the eaves. Plumber will be coming next week to fix a few issues. Wall and roof insulation mostly done. Will have to do Alfresco roof myself as it was not mentioned in the contract. Also waiting for electrician to pull through a few missed external points. 

Render and eaves

Just finished bricking. They are putting in the eaves. Front of house already rendered. Still waiting for brick cleaner to come.

Bricking

Bottom floor bricking almost done. Finally got the slight overhang of beam at the front fixed by engineering. Also lowered the windows in the lounge in the nick of time before the brick layers got in. 

Gas central heating and ducts were installed. Electrical wiring done. Mostly right with a few minor mistakes

Roof's up

It's rainy but didn't stop these people from tiling my roof.

Frame stage inspection

Theo inspected my frames and slab yesterday. He was rather pleased with the framers. Picked up a few minor things but basically he was quite happy with the results. Also there were a few things not according to plan that has to be corrected ie fireplace frame height too low and lounge windows to be floor level and not raised.

So far the plumber has done the rough ins for the gas, taps and gutters. Noticed a few minor things like the height of gas points and tap that needed to be corrected.

All the pipes are iplex plastic including the gas pipes. I was told it was industry standard now.

My roof tiles have been delivered. Elabana barramundi. Sounds delicious
